Well after just 2500 miles, head gaskets are leaking. While it's apart I plan on changing push rod bases and I am considering going to XB heads. Should I also change motormount? Will I still be able to run additional breather into Forcewinder? Or should I just stick to changing bases?

Should I also change motormount?
YES, you can Mod yours but it is easier to buy a new one with the correct spacing and geometry.

Will I still be able to run additional breather into Forcewinder?

Yes You could put the stock Tuber rocker covers onto the XB heads (the Tuber rockers wil also work on a XB head) and drill holes into the Bosses where your breather bolts would have gone and mount the old breather bolts in there and run it like a tuber head.

OR

Drill and tap small holes to mount the carb/throttle body bracket and put on XB rocker covers (remember the Tuber rockers will still work at this point) and run the PVC valves back into the Force VIA rubber hose.

Or should I just stick to changing bases?

You should change the base gaskets anytime you remove a head.

Spidey, Thanx. The mount I have in mind is cut for XB's, it's the one at American Sport Bike. I was hoping to leave Forcewinder as is, w/ breather and run a drain hose from the XB heads into a catch can. Will this work? Is it too much breathing? Should I even bother going to XB's? I don't have any major puking issues. I take 3 or 4 paper towels w/ rubber bands along just the bottom of Forcewinder and leave on overnite. Only put the towels in areas were you get brown oil. This has worked well and no more splooge on leg or bike. Maybe I should just change push rod bases and motormount? Sorry for all the ? I may have a week before it has to go in.

note:
you do not have to run the vents to the air cleaner. you can just run the vents down along the cylinder and have them exit just in front of the front pulley. this has worked well for myself and others. it has been my experience that excessive "puking" is primarily caused by overfilling the oilbag. catch cans are really not required unless you are on the track.

the only "puke" i ever see is maybe a dime sized milky spot that is mostly water and that only occurs after very spirited riding.
after 4 years of parking in the same spot their still is no "harley mark"

The late model Sportster heads are same as XB but already have holes for breather bolts/carb mount so no need to drill and tap.
Head gaskets leaking--that is an odd occurence. What are your symptoms?
