Hey i was wondering what my options would be for a hydraulic clutch on a 1998 S1. Anyone ever used one or has one? Thanks!

Not me. Amerikan Sport Bike has one for sale. You might want to check the Knowledge Vault.

Dustin(AKA Milesvdustin):

While you are PRODUCT IMPROVING your CLUTCH :

Replace the SPRING PLATE PN37977-90 with 2ea STEEL PLATE PN 37913-90 and 1ea FRICTON PLATE PN37911-90 ...
REASON: The SPRING PLATE will go bad around 50K and take some of the clutch plates with it ...

Make sure the CLUTCH THROW OUT BEARING PN8885 is good as when it goes bad you can not keep the clutch adjusted ... When "i" UP-DATED mine "i" went to a SEALED BEARING as it does not enough TRANSMISSION LUBRICANT to it ...

Thanks everyone, i will look around and see what my options are. As for the transmission, i have about 13k miles on the bike right now, do i need to go ahead and do the upgrade? Or can i wait a little?
THanks again

Do it this winter. At 13K it's just barely broke in. I just checked on the Amerikan Sportbike Site and their hydraulic clutch costs $259.95 [plus shipping] so you might wish to save up for a few paychecks. In the mean time enjoy your Buell and ride it. Unless you are planning to do a lot of burnouts or drag racing it there's no hurry about all these clutch upgrades you plan. KK
