Hey all I am new here..

I just bought a 2002 X1W with all of 4 miles on it. This thing as lived in a showroom all its life.

I was planning on buying a honda 600rr but when I found this bike I was pretty intrigued. Looks pretty unusual but should be high on fun factor. Plus I got a pretty good deal.

Are there any mods/recalls I should worry about immediately?

Just from looking around, I am assuming its ok to remove the black plastic fairings over the motor?

Also, this headlight has got to go!! What are my options.

I am very new to Buells, but am excited to pick up my bike next week, and can imagine the looks this bike will get.

Chris

I think the 2002 models were recall free.

If you remove the black plastic, you'll need to close out the bottom of the tank cover with something. The plastic on the right side is actually the air box, so you'll also need an alternate filter assembly and catch-can.

Headlight? You need to call, Al at American Sport Bike. He'll set you up with a halogen light that harbors the energy of the sun and CF tank accents.
