I had a starter that I let go for to long and it consequently munched the ring gear. Does anyone know if you can replace the ring gear separately from the clutch shell. Clutch shells are a little pricey. It looks as if the ring gear is a pressed fit onto the shell. If I could just cut the old one off and put on a new I could hopefully save a few hundred bucks...
