Author Message   Brentmiller Posted on Tuesday, May 08, 2007 - 12:35 am:        I got some crossroads clip ons, took the windscreen off for the install and can't see putting it back on. I HATE the damn thing. Naked is posed to be naked. Anyhow, has anyone done anything to lower the position of the speedo? I don't mind all the crap being exposed up front but the cluster is a little unsightly. There oughta be some way to fab up some spacers to lower the top of (meaning lay it down to be flatter.) I mounted the dash underneath and slid the headlight up to make the area more compact. But even if he didn't have the mechanical speedo - lots of wiring and adapting... I think that would take away from the mechanical look of the tubers though ... not a real naked bike with electronic doo-hickey's on it ... I used two 1/4" or so steel pieces about 3/4" wide. It was the bulk welding steel they sell at NAPA. Just marked and clamped up in the drill press.
