and man does this thing sound BAD!!!!!!!!!!! When I started it for the first time my first thought was "this is going to be way too loud" but after riding a few days it is actually not that bad at hwy speeds. It can get a little loud around town though.

The only problem I am having is when cruising below 3000 rpm I cannot accelerate with out the bike jumping/sputtering but once it reaches 3000-3100 HOLD ON! cause this thing is an animal. I put the race ECM like every one said but it just isn't 100% in the drivability category. It has also died a few times when I come to a stop. Other than the Force, race ECM, and K&N the bike is stock. I had the dealer reset the TPS but I had to adjust the idle a little after they did so could the TPS need resetting?

That is just part of the beast when using that pipe, a good tuner and direct link may help. I have been told a few different things in regards to the baffle being useless to helpful with the below 3K dip.

the reason it does not sound as loud is that you are losing your hearing, a little at a time..ahahahahahaha. boy those things are loud......

What did you have on before? I only have experience with the SS2R (V&H) and the Buell race pipe. I ran the Buell can on my M2 with no discs and no endplate. Damn I loved that rumble!

I'm trying to figure out what to put on the S2. I guess the Supertrapp is OK...but it lacks that low frequency rumble I love. The SS2R on the S1W is nice...but I could always put that on the (now daily driver) S2 and something louder on the (now for fun only) S1W : )

Speaking of, does anyone have a recommended disc number for the Supertrapp? Right now I've got 12 plus the endplate...maybe I'll start a thread on it...

The bike had the stock exhaust and ECM before so you can imagine how much louder it is now. I just got back from a 4 hour ride and my ears are ringing. I will probably ride with ear plugs on trips longer than 30 mins or so.

The sound really is awesome though. When I took it to the HD dealer to get the TPS reset there was probably 150 bikes/people in the parking lot and when I pulled in EVERYONE was staring and wanting to know what could possibly sound this mean. Several of the techs were commenting on how good is sounds at idle. 2 or 3 of these guys have HDs that make OVER 130 HP at the tire so that was a big compliment from experienced builders.

I have kind of been disappointed though, I have been riding for about a week and still haven't got a noise violation ticket yet.

rat, if you get the open endcap for that supertrap, it will make a world of difference, and save you alot of money buying something else... but if you really wanna go for it, there is almost nothing out there louder than the force... i love it.......

I had the Supertrapp on the stock header. Took out the baffle assembly and put a regular dragpipe baffle in the end of the header before the megaphone. You will need to weld an exhauster adapter onto the drag pipe baffle so it doesn't rattle. It has a great sound and doesn't loose the bottom end like an open pipe. It's not a substitute for a real tuned exhaust but the sound is great. Switched to the Force pipe. People say it's loud but not compared to the open drags on my Ironhead!

Took a while to find, but Cycle World (Nov, 2005)did an eval of the Tsukigi system for XB's. Some mid-range gains, losses on both top and bottom end, and some 16lbs lighter than the stock system.
Over $1,000, and REALLY loud. They took it off and sent it back.
Hope this helps, Dave.
