I bought a 2000 X1 a few months ago and I am taking it in to the local dealer tomorrow for the 10K service and I would like to know what I should expect. I haven't bought a manual yet so I am not sure what all is needed at the 10K service. Can anyone clue me in? Thanks.

The 10,000 took me quite a few hours to do on my M2 to grease the steering head and swing arm bearings. Since I had the swing arm off, I also upgraded to the newer rear isolators.

I had read on the XB board that the front fork fluid had to be changed at 10k. Does that apply to the tubers also?

Can't speak for the X1, but on the M2 (conventional forks) the service interval is 20k miles.

My S1 (WP inverted forks) is a 10,000mi fork oil change interval.

A service manual is the best tool you can get.
