Why won't a tank off a injected bike work on my '97 S1.

No petcock.

The fuel pump lives inside the tank on an X1.

I don't think a floatbowl valve could handle that much pressure!

Perhaps you could fab something up but it's not a straight bolt-on thing for ya.

You can convert the tank with pingle petcock and an internal plate after removing the pump and regulator assembly. I'm not sure about the physical fit. The tank on my 98 S1W (carb) has a different floor shape then my 99 S3 (FI).
