Will a D&D slip-on muffler for a S1 fit an X1 with the stock headers? Thanks |

no, unless it is a s1w slip-on and you still may need to fab a rear mount. tim |

it will if the previous S1 was a S1W. all mounts are the same, but the old S1 had a 2 inch collector while the S1W had a 2.5 inch collector just like the X1 So in short, if the muffler can fit on a 2.5 inch collector your all set... BUT just to be sure can you post a picture of said muffler? I remember D&D, when they first started selling pipes for Buell, had a slip on that kind of looked like a Force pipe that jutted out to the side instead of straight back like a newer D&D... |

Thanks for the replies. I do not have the muffler yet. My wife bought it online as a gift for me. After reading the description I am not 100% sure it's the D&D pipe for an X1. We'll see once I get it. Thanks again |

If its the one from eBay, that I have been seeing...no, it will not work... Otherwise, cut and paste the description here, OR better yet, a link to the item in question... BUT, as a reference... Exhuast... 99-02 up, ALL slip ons are the same for the stock header... Slip ons fro the RACE header are the same as well(99-02) The ONLY difference on 99-02 models is the M2 doesnt have an O2 sensor..SO, a X1/S3 header will fit a M2(with the sensor bung plugged), but a M2 header wont work on a X1/S3.... and, as mentioned, there is the S1W..which for the slip ons, would fall under the same category as 99-02 models...
