Alrighty, I'm up to a 205 main jet on my M2 now with a Buell race can and intake. I feel good about fuel, and I'm ready to start playing with the timing. Questions:

1) I've read in other posts that each mark on the timing plate is 2.5 degrees. Is that the major marks or the minor marks?

2) Anyone have any suggestions on a good starting point?

3) Will I get the best power with the timing advanced as far as it will go without detonation? Or can I advance the timing far enough to get out of the sweet spot without actually making it ping?

The point at which it pings is going to change with the fuel at the pump and the temp. Also riding conditions.Find a spot it likes and leave it be, unless your going to the drag strip or some type of competition. Still the dyno is the best place for this type of experimenting.....Charlie
