I'm all set on this folks. I'm planning on fabricating a luggage rack to mount a Givi top box using their universal mounting plate. I plan to weld angle iron supports to the bracket running back beyond the tail. To these I'll attach a 10" square rack for the mounting plate. I'll be adding a brake light and turn signals to the rack, and use the OEM lights on their bracket to go back to stock if I run without the top box.

James theres a couple of the parts your after on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HARLEY-DAVIDSON-BUE LL-S1-REAR-TAIL-LIGHT-SUBFRAME-MOUNT_W0QQcmdZViewI temQQcategoryZ35560QQihZ016QQitemZ260061490595QQrd Z1
I have the both types (not for sale) i'd recommend getting the twin tail one as it is a lot heavier duty so should suit your needs.
the one on ebay has only 2 days to go and has had no bids yet.

Good luck and hope this helps.
Jodie

YOu could always just bolt one of these to the bike, and mount the box on it...

This bolts right up to an S1, and is for sale...

Thanks Jodie,
I did see the ebay items unfortunately after I had Dave at Appleton order me a new bracket. I have the twin tail from the bike, but am not sure which one Dave is sending me. Will the single work with the twin body work?
Bartimus, I considered the Ventura Sport Rack but believe the grab handle will interfere with the box.

Yes James you can use the single seat bracket, but you can't carry a pillion as you wont have the extra support for there weight.

that is a ventura rack, here is a link for the complete system for an S1.
http://www.ventura-bike.com/english/fitments/displ ay_picture.asp?fitment_id=29

The rack pictured above does not have the taller sissy bar that the ventura pack system slides onto, but rather a short one to bungee things to.
The ventura racks bolt right on, you don't have to relocate turnsignals or anything.

> That's a great suggestion. I'm looking for a spare because I plan to fabricate a luggage rack welded to the bracket. I want to be able to go back to stock when I don't run with the top box. I'll post as to my progress once I get it all figured. Thanks, james
