This morning in the cold air, I zapped the gas in second gear to cross an intersection.
Front wheel came up!

I wasn't leaning back.
I didn't do anything funny with the clutch.

Bike just wanted to GO I guess. It's too dumb to know it's supposed to be worn out by now.

I want a new XB12X and to support the company and all but this thing continues to be the best toy EVER.

In order to make my '79 XL1000 get to the same miles I had to:

Three topends
one flywheel
tranny rebuilt twice
one clutch
three generators
worn out carb
infinite sets of points
Cam follower bearing failure that fed rollers to the oil pump (current problem)

I'm just pretty impressed at the EVO platform is all.

Nate I know how you feel. I just hot rodded mine some after deciding I couldn't justify buying a different bike 1400.00 and 6 hours later and I've fallen in love all over again.
