Can I fit S3T bars on an S1 White Lightning? I.E. are the cables and wires long enough? Made the swap on my M2 w/no problem, does the S1W have the same length cables?

What seat options are available? How hard is it to find a twin tail to fit an S1? Will the M2 seat and tail body fit?

I'll probably have some more ?s, let's see if these get answered. Reason I'm asking is cause a sweet S1W is for sale near me. Although I won't give up the comfort of my M2. So I'm wondering just how comfy I can make the S1.

There are Corbin and Buell Pro series seats, and many options for having a custom seat done using your stock seat pan. Kinda pricey though...

I cut down and shaped my stock seat, I find it more comfortable than the proserie,s but I've got low bars that throw a lot of weight on my wrists. I prefer the firm foam of the stocker but the stock shape was pretty uncomfortable.

The pro series is taller and somewhat softer with much better shaping.

Can't help with the cables and stuff, I had to reroute throttle and clutch along with moving wires that were bunching up when I put the low bars on, so I had/have too much cable for the bars I've got...

(my bike is basically a s1w now with a proper frame and header)

Yes, you can just barely get the stock cables to work with the Blast/S3T bars. You'd be better off with a longer clutch cable, though.
You'll also have to space the instruments way up to keep the clutch cable from fouling.
I tried five different Buell bars on mine and went back to inverted clubmans.

Thanks guys.

On the footpegs, they look higher than on the M2, is there a kit to lower them? Kinda dumb question I know but that's what I like.

Buggles, I think I'm bidding on your seat and I don't even have a bike to put it on yet. I do have an extra set of bars and that's where trouble usually starts.

You have an extra set of bars to build another bike under? Now that I think about it I have an extra set of bars now too... my wife wout not be happy with this line of thought

I've put Crossraods S1W bars on my bike and found the [Pro Series] seat was too high so have gone back to a custom job I was using last year. Too much weight on my wrists with that thicker foam...

Good luck at the auction, I guess I should have offered it here first but I was afraid it would look like I was soliciting the sale.

Yep, extra bars just in case I need to ride a new bike any distance to get it home. They're the Buell Apehangers (TM) aka touring bars. My neck won't tolerate lower bars. Kind of like a wife in some respects, I guess : )

Had a dream about a Pro Series seat, I was in a Harley dealership and they had one in stock.

Back to the S1... is the front end rake of an S1 the same as the X1, or is it the more relaxed geometry of the M2?
