well im due (by over 100 miles) for the 1000 mile check up and i gotta couple questions.

1.how many miles over can i go without risking damage to the engine and tranny?

2.what exactly do they do?

3.what do ya think they'll say about fiona's new bueaty marks and the cracks in the airbox near the lining?

The major part is just an oil change (both engine and primary). They also check brake fluid level and other maintenance items. Get yourself a factory service manual, and you can do it all yourself for much less money.
