sorry to say it but if you need to ask tips on doing a wheelie, especially on a buell you need to work on the fundumentals of motorcycling first, you can get pretty f'd up going over end at speed, but since i think that you are going to overlook my warning, in order to be good at wheelies you have to have great rear brake control to hold the bike at balance point, for beginers sit down wheelies in the back of an industrial area parking lot out of the cops vision work well, ohh yeah and ALWAYS wear your HELMET and GLOVES

I learned on dirtbikes. That's pretty much all the advice I have on learning how to wheelie.

On my M2, second gear and some clutch will get me to a balance point I can maintain for quite a distance.

With the bike at the low end of the peak torque band (about 2800rpm) in first gear I give a quick 1/4 to maybe 1/2 turn of throttle and return. It will launch the front tire with gusto and if you decelerate nice it lands soft. It's super easy to do with the clutch, in fact it's too easy to launch a header so I never do it.

My S2 used to wheelie really easy whenever I got on it in first gear as I started rolling. But the last few times I've done this the back tire broke loose which is kinda scary. Since then I've just chilled out and driven conservatively.
