My 2000 M2. I have done all the work myself other then paint and seat cover.
Worked over the X1 tail so it would fit over the M2 rear frame. I then made a seatpan that would fit the extra room to the fuel tank. After the seatpan I had the foam cut and coverd. The base blue is stock paint. But the airbrushing is awsome. Only the painter is a screw up and only got the tank done.
The bike is going black with a gunmetal belt down the center of the tank & front fender.
I also went with the 06 XB headlights. The brackets took alittle work to make but the payoff was worth the blood IMO.
Then used small drag spes gauges with white face speedo & tach that turn blue @ night.
I also put 6 blue leds on the left side of the motor & 4 color changers on the right side. None of the lights have a bulb where they can be seen.
The other Buell headache I went through was the header and muffler. I took a new header and hit it with the buffer. Then made a brace on the front to the motormount and to the belt cover for the rear. These take a ton of stress off the header studs. You can see these in the top photo. I will put up better pics later. Then got a wileyco carbonfiber can.
Next steps will be clip-ons and rear sets.

You know, I know there is peg relocators, for the M2...BUT, I am almost willing to bet, that S1 rearsets would work, based on how they attach...

Anyway, sounds like its coming together well... Need to finsih mine up, but mine is slowly coming together... I have a few questions about the dash/gauges...

Bulbs? LEDs? I mean, help me out if possible, been trying to get new bulbs, and want to go with blue...

Thanks..

Chase

The gauges came that way. I know its not much help but I didnt pull them apart. They are drag specialties 2 1/4 " white face speedo & tach. The back lighting makes the white turn neon blue.
Around 70.00 each and dead on for the speed.
I know a few police here & had one clock me just to see if it was true for the MPH.
For the dash, The gauges came with mounts that fit like a glove out of the box. Keep in mind I pulled the warning lights and all plastic. Just use the mounting holes for the stock dash.
I just put new gauges in my trail rig and they came with covers you could slip over the bulbs for a color change. But IMO it looked funny. Kinda a washed out color.
