Ya'll know I cant use the search topic, trying to find the bulb size for the dash lights on a X1......

IIRC its the same as the S1, BUT, I dont remember the number, I went to the parts store, and it looks like the 174 and the 194 are the same, but, my buddy says otherwise...

HELP....

I think they are an odd wattage.

I know the fuel light has to be a specific value for it to work.

I gave up guessing and went to the dealership.
They cost $1 instead of $.35 like in the auto parts place but at least you know they are the right values and won't melt your dash, right?

Ok, I am trying to go with blue bulbs..

No, I dont want to mess the wirirng up...

It just the bulb for the speedo and the tach light

From my '01 X-1 service manual-

Speedo bulb-1.7 watts 0.14 amps P/N 67421-99Y
Tach bulb -1.7 watts 0.14 amps P/N 68073-99Y

THATS interesting, I didnt see any difference between the tach adn speedo bulbs... but I can see there is a part number difference...

i looked in the s/m, but, not too hard, becuase it wasnt the info I was looking for..

Looing for sylvania part numbers, or something...

Oh well, will try something else..

in the mean time, if anyone knows the info, feel free to post...

chase if ya can take the dead ones to the auto parts

the bases are Tnn wedge base lamps

if you want colors you paint or color them have you considered using some leds like you see on e-bay?
