Hey guys Im wondering are isolators covered under warrenty. my front is torn bad is it safe or Ok to ride it like this? | ||

I don't think it's safe to ride. If your bike is still under warrantee, it should be covered. I think I read here that if you ride on a ba isolator, it can damage your front engine mount or start a stress fracture in the front head. | ||

Is this an easy job? If Id have to wait a while to get in Id rather just do it myself. | ||

The front isolator isn't too bad. Put the bike on a centerstand, put a small hydraulic jack under the forward mount for the rear shock to hold the engine up when you remove the support bolt. Remove the seat and gas tank. Remove large bolt that goes through front isolator and engine mount. Remove two small bolts that hold the isolator to the frame and slip old isolator out of frame. Installation is the reverse of removal. Most people put in a new large bolt and nut while they've got it apart. It takes about an hour if you don't run into any snags. |
