Ok, so I know I have a Buell race can, but I'm curious as to why it looks like it was made for another bike. One of the bolt holes on the muffler's bracket lines up with one of them on the bike's bracket, but the other one doesn't. There's one bolt in place and a bunch of welding. I have to remove the bike's bracket to get the muffler off.

Maybe the original bracket broke off the muffler and a different one was welded on? Or maybe this muffler wasn't meant for an 02 Cyclone?

That's not the original race can hanger arrangement - it looks like the stock hanger. Believe me, it's better than what the factory had in mind for the race muffler...

Ahhhh, ok. So the race can came with its own hanger assembly. That makes sense then.

The stock muffler has a nice clamp design that uses the Z bracket's two holes to triangulate the location.

I can swap between the stock muffler and the loud one in less than 30 minutes.
It looks like a BEAR to get yours off!

I modified my V&H hanger to work with my race header and modified V&H can. I now have the worlds most difficult to remove muffler.

It's like a miracle everytime I can R&R it.
