Hey everybody, if I kill the throttle around 20-30 I can hear the brake shoes draging a little bit, is this normal? I felt the rotor and it wasnt hot, and it doesnt seam to slow me down really, MY mechanic friend says its normal but he is a car mechanic. SO I thought Id ask you guys.....

You should hear my 98 S3 when i shut off and coast or push.... eeehh gawds I was like WTF at first but that was 20k + ago! I don't even think about it now.

Try placing your feet on the foot pegs provided. That's what the manufacturer provided their use for

Don't worry if the wheel spins free at all times, hot or cold.

Change both brake mastercylinders fluid once a year and wipe out with a old peice of T-SHIRT ...

Take you brake pads out and rough them on
the concrete of the drive way(brake the glaze) and while out clean the rotors with rotor cleaner(cheapest you can find will do just fine) with a clean rag ...

Spray silicon on the caliper seals and put
NAPA/CRC Disc Brake Quit between caliper
piston/brake pad(when the piston draws back a little when you release the brake
it will pull the pad with it giving you less pad/rotor drag ... Clean and lube the pins(with HIGH TEMP. GREASE) where the Brake Pads slide in and out ...

As "PREVENTIVE MAINTENCE" do this a least
once a year and you will always have GOOD
BRAKES ...

i bleed and change my brake fluid every month along with the oil change....they get dirty fluid quick with all the mountain riding i do lol.
I put new fluid in, and last weekend, when i went n the mountains all weekend i had to change it again....then this sound started happening on the way back....im gonna dismantle everythign this weekend and redo it all
