It all started when I crashed on the right side some months ago. I replaced the pipe and turn signals easily enough, and got a new K&N filter for my Forcewinder intake. But I had a hard time sourcing the original Forcewinder-type filter with a "pointy end" and ended up with something with a much broader, flatter nose. No biggie, it flows more air than the Forcewinder original intake. After much debate about what to do with that odd space, I ended up with:  | ||

Wasn't too happy with the broadness of mine and removed the end and silicone sealed an end off a biscuit container in its place. Now I like! Pic in profile. | ||

I think the only way he can improve on that is to add some googly eyes so they bounce all over the place at idle. I really think that's perfect though. The perfect Mr. Bill "Oh no!!" face | ||

Why?  The one I've got flows more air (a lot more surface area than the Forcewinder bit!) and it's got that nice area for a logo... Heh. I wonder what cagers think when they see that "shocked look" graphic coming up on 'em? | ||

As an aside: y'all might not realize it, but that gun is seriously modded. The hammer ain't stock, it's from a Ruger "SuperBlackHawk", and the front sight is completely different. The gun started life as a Ruger "Vaquero" (crude "cowboy" sights like an 1873 gun) but the sights are closer to Ruger Blackhawk/SuperBlackhawk spec. Hence "Vaqhawk". Gun guys tweak stuff as much as bikers do . |
