It seems there is plenty of swingarm clearance, but not much fork clearance. These sizes are getting hard to find in EBAY.. I have been having trouble getting the 170/60 rear tire though, and have been putting 180/55 on all my tubers. Believe me, their engineers know more than you and they really do have your best interest in mind. A 5.5" wide wheel like Bartimus has is the recommeded width for a 180 tire from most manufacturers. There isnt any room for anything bigger than a 190...BUT, I didnt like the way it felt.. So, back to a 180... I know that Buell recommends a max of 170 on the stock wheels and a 180 for the PM's. There are numerous people that run a 180 on the stock wheel with no problems. Also from my experience in tire shopping, the 180 is more accessible than the 170 at the local sport bike shops around here, that is unless I want to wait and have them order my tires.   Buellx1w Posted on Thursday, April 06, 2006 - 07:10 am:        Thanks- think I'll try the 180/55.. This seems to be the area on my bike with the least rear tire clearance and it's not obvious.
