I was at the local shop yesterday and they said the hottest selling tire for them right now is the Michelin Pilot Power, Anyone running them? How about longevity? I will end up needing a new set of tires this summer so I'm looking ahead. I'm currently running the Pirelli Diablo's on my S1 and they have been great, they do wear a little quick. Let me know.

Thanks,

Hodakaguy

I am running them it's my second set on the S1, I really like them but they don't last real long either, I think I got just under 4,000 out of the first set.

I am running the Pilot Road right now. I opted against the Pilot Power, because I am doing a lot of highway commuting, and I wanted to get more mileage out of my tires. The Pilot Road seems to be a great tire. Huge improvement over the Dunlops. Much more linear turn in vs. the flop over with the Dunlop. I can only imagine that the Pilot Power would respond the same way.

Hmm, I like the flop of the Dunlops. I'm running BT020's now, but I miss the faster turn in of the D220/205's. The D208's, however, are a waste due to mileage...

Pilot powers are good handling tire, but seem to wear fast. I have the pilot road now also and like them for my riding style. I'm not a super aggressive rider, so I'm happy. If I was be aggressive I'd get the pilot power

I pulled my Pilot Powers off last night to change to the Diablo Strada.I've got about 5000 miles on and the rear has the flat spot down to the wear bars in the center. The sides look like they have about 2000 more miles in them. I loved these tires but need to be ridden hard on the edges to really use them up. That being said 5000 out of a rear is not a bad figure.I'm hoping for 7000 out of the Diablo Stradas. The Pilot Powers are an excellent handling tire and I would recommend them to anyone looking for that extra grip. NUTS

I've been running a Pilot Power up front and a Pilot Road out back with no ill effects. I've got about 10k on the back with probably another 2k left before I'll have to change up. I like to have a stickier front tire-seems to give me more confidence.

I have them on my x1 and think they are great. They stick like glue and don't wear to bad. I had two gaskets blow out on me twice and it covered the whole back tire with oil while I was riding in the twisties and I didn't know till I stopped for a break. I think they are the only reason I didn't lay the bike down. I have a friend that runs them on his GSXR with nitro and he loves them too.
