Is there an alternative to the stock FI? Dealer says mine need to be replaced and qouted $63 each (part only) for 99 X1.

I paid $45 for the pair back when I replaced mine.

Look for a local diesel/fuel injection shop to get them cleaned/tested.

If I remember right, they are the same/similar to the Ford injectors used in mustangs(not the same rate though....

If you want, when I get back to VA, I can check an extra injector I have, against some loose parts...but...

I could be way off on that...

injectors arent cheap anywhere you go...but, I do think 60+ per injector is a bit steep....

did you look in the x1 files? like chase I believe that these may be ford parts

I looked there and a few other places and can only find passing references to a non HD injector, no part #s or specifics. I was sure I had seen it in the past, but I my be confusing it with the Bosch O2 sensor that is from a Ford Taurus.

Take them in where you can have them flow tested. They may be able to give you an idea of what manufacture was used/comparable and the stock flow rate in lbs/hour.
