I think that they were trying to steal my bike, but I don't know for sure. Anyway, I didn't have the funds to replace the entire tail section so I got some kitty hair for a cheap fix. That stuff works! I'd never even heard of kitty hair before today, but I'm glad I did. If anyone needs to fix any plastics on their bike, try this stuff. Just grind the crack low, then just repair the area as you would fiberglass, but using ABS cement and nylon drywall tape as matting. Make sure you let the cement cure 100% before adding another lamination, as the cement is evaporative versus catalyzed as 'glass resin is.
