Well I bought a race pipe off ebay, mounted it and got to run it for about a week before the front mount broke. I had replaced the old style L mount with the Y hanger upgrade a the same time. The part that broke is the front mount that is held on with the strap clamp. First my Wileyco took a dump and now this. Any ideas on anything I may be doing wrong or where I may find that little bracket again?

When you put the exhaust all together, leave everything a little loose. Header bolts, and all.
beat on it with the heel of your hand to settle it al in place before tightening it all up.

Like Nate said. Sorry to say but you mounted it wrong but all is not lost. Have that bracket mig welded and it will work fine again.

Once you have the headers installed almost tight, pay attention to getting a very straight line from the header outlet into the muffler, and keep the line straight by mounting the rear of the muffler with spacers \ washers to enable a straight line. Then tighten it up. Use a torque wrench on the header mounting studs - and trust me, with new gaskets installed the torque setting is correct. Go for a ride and see how it pans out. Chances are the rubbers in the 'Y' mount will move into their most comfortable place and all should be well. The secret is keeping the system dead straight and in line then allowing the mountings to hold it there naturally rather than forcibly.

One other tip. I kept having my headers crack between the collector area. I filled that in-between both pipes area with a lot more mig wire than the factory ever did - and it's stopped it cracking!
