Just wondering if anyone is running N6 cams & thunderstorm heads. I'm kinda disappointed with my results.

I was looking for good mid to high end, seems to be mostly high end.
I found specification #'s I was looking for. So problem solved.

That HP is what my Lighting head S1 was making with a full exhaust and aircleaner...torque was 80 ft-lbs. I think you may just need more tuning.

I plan on changing out the N6 back to stock. The lobe separation angle is too great. Way too much on the top end. I will advise with #'s on stock and possible N2's or other cams.

I think what I'm running is basically the N6 cam set. The lift is .500 and duration is .256. They are the Screamin Eagle "B" cams. I have the Buell race header, Screamin Eagle valve springs and keepers, and the CV40 that is about 185 main. 45 pilot. I'm making 91 RWHP and 84 ftlbs torque. Everything else is bone stock. The bike is a 2002 M2. Your main sounds a bit lean. I'd bet some dyno tuning would yield the results your looking for.

Cyclonemaniac is running what Bruce started with. The S1 came with cams that are marketed as S.E. cams. And the M2 came with the stock Sportster cams that are used for their mid-range. N2s would be halfway between , I would think. I think you're way small on the main. 190 to 205 is the range my bud's and I are running.
Sounds like you're getting a nice colection of used cams. Let me know when you need to part with one set or another.

I have N9's in my bike now with and the low end power is unbelievable. I've been playing with my main 'cause I was waaay off!

Leave her as is, man. I'm sure you'll get it worked out. My bike with all its new mods started out making only 84hp on its first run.

My X1 has N9 cams and it makes tons of power and torque from 3000 rpm to the limit. Torque and HP are both around 110 at the rear wheel (8% more torque with 26 tooth front pulley). My brother has the identical model bike with the same mods (except pulley) like 10.5:1, total seal rings, lightweight pistons, Buell race kit but the stock cam. It makes 98hp at the rear wheel and 90 ft lbs. About the only difference between the bikes is the cam but the difference in torque and throttle response is very apparent. His bike runs smoother at low RPM but lacks the breathtaking throttle until about 4,000 rpm. It feels snappier at 70 mph than 30 mph. It's easier and more civilized to ride and the motor will undoubtedly last longer so there are many factors to be considered.

My air fuel mixture is almost right on.

Sorry about the quality, cell phone picture. I don't have a scanner.

Why do those charts look so weird? It looks like it has a break and then starts again.

Its a small blip in communication between the dyno and computer.

That blip normally occurs when there is an erratice RPM signal coming from the vehicle to the DynoJet RPM module.

We see it at least once a week on the Chassis dyno.

Dynojet uses the RPM signal to calcualte/figure the torque of the vehicle.

Dynojet does not require an RPM signal to calculate HP, but it does for Torque.

Software (go figure)
