will a post recall swingarm from a s2 or s1 or early s3 swingarm fit a rr-1000 without any modification or ride change besides the welding of the axel adjusting block tabs on the top and bottom . I had a problem with the sprocket bearing failing and letting the sprocket meet the swingarm (stop fast?!!! you don't want to know ) | ||

Has anyone worked out a list of "what swing arm fits what" with regard to pre-1997 bikes all the way back to 1987? Even retrofitting newer swing arms? Anyone have general or specific knowledge? Thnx in advance. | ||

On the site here someplace is the general rough instructions to retrofit a newer 'tuber aluminum swingarm to an S2. It can be done, just takes a little finesse and a couple of tools and cuts or grinds in a few places if I remember right. |
