I recently purchased a carbon fiber chin fairing kit from a fellow BadWeb member for fitment on my '02 S3T. When I looked at the instruction, I noticed that the kit was designed for around the "Old Style" shifter. Any ideas on how to modify the fairing to work with my S3's new style shifter?

I assume the '02 X1 fairing made accomications for this? Thanks for any input in advance.

Actually, you need to get the parts from teh kit for the X1.

When I had my updated shifter, it had a alu bushing that went throught he fairing......one of the mounting holes...as thats where the updated shift mounts

Hope that helps...I might even have the stuff you need....I will check, and let you know

Chasespeed,

I have the complete kit with bushings, etc. however not the bushing for the updated shifter. I would assume some widening of the mounting hole will be required. Let me know if you have the proper bushing. Thanks.

Todd I did the same thing on my S3 all I did was to enlarge the rear mounting hole to let the shifter mount fit and left it at that. 10K miles with no problems.
Wayne.
