Put on the Race ECM, K & N, Gutted the airbox, Vance & Hines slip on, reset the TPS, reset the AFV, went for a nice long ride for the AFV to recalculate....and BAM!!!! It is like a whole new bike!!!!!

Ride is "...like butta..." Nice, smooth, and fast!!!!!

Thanks to Daves for the parts.

Dave - Nope...I bought the Technoresearch software and did it myself. No longer a slave to the dealer....

Blackbelt - I LOVE the way mine feels...like a whole new bike.

Race ECM, Forcewinder, TPS Reset, no difference.
I'm waffling between a Borla I saw online and a V&H. One of those might make all the difference but right now I'm a little disappointed. I do think a timing check is in order, though. At 14,000 the rivets are still in place on mine.

Easyrider,

My X1 felt like a whole new bike after the race ECM, Race header, Race pipe, & gutted airbox with K&M (Standard factory race kit) & a TPS reset. There is a general rule that if you put more air in (intake) you need a better flowing exhaust to get more power. I think once you replace your exhaust and then do another TPS reset you won't believe the difference in your bike.

i wonder if my bike is some how messed.. cause there is no difference (at least that i can tell) between the bike stock and w/ the Race ECM, Force, Supertrapp (w/ 20 discs).. I mean if it is it is minimal.. or maybe it is just that i did each one at completely different times and not in one big glop.. so it was more gradual... but who knows.
