I am about to retrofit the "new" 2002 front exhaust hanger. I was wondering if anyone could share some pointers?
I noticed the the plate opposite the front mount is actually the shock mount and the bolts go all the way through the engine cases.

This looks as though it's going to be more of a show than I thought - and all because my little rubber things fell out!

Just be careful not to lose any nuts and bolts in your back yard while working in the tree.

It's not a big deal just follow your manual and what ever directions that came with the mount.

The main thing you have to do is support the rear of the bike so it doesn't drop when you take the bolts out of the mounts. In case you don't have it, the installation bulletin is available here:
