Has any one else had a problem with this bolt coming loose on their X1, even after cleaning locktite and re-install?,
I find oil from the primary on it when I remove it
I have the 2001 x1 I am concerned that the threads are "boogered" and (longer /larger) bolt or heli coil may be required shifter bolt

ok what happened prolly is the same thing that happened to me..

Have you ever changed out the primary gasket? if not change it to the Metal one. Cause your gasket is ripped. prolly around that bolt. Mine did the same EXACT thing.. the primary oil would mess w/ the locktite, so the bolt would work its way out. once i pulled the cover and replaced the gasket w/ the new one, and used Blue locktite on the threads, let her sit for about 1 hour.. all was good. try that

I did the same as Blackie -- also sprayed some de-greaser into the bolt hole to get her good n clean before re-installing the bolt

longer bolt will bottom in the hole, perhaps snapping while trying to torque properly
