Previous owner installed a pingle petcock that drops straight down instead of making the 90 deg turn like the stocker.
Any suggestions on how to mod the fuel line to better accept the turn?
I am also looking at adding an inline fuel filter. Good or bad idea? Anyone tried?
I am pulling my carb down tonight, I think I have a stuck float valve. Any suggestions will as always be apriciated.
Josh

Your bike came stock with an inline fuel filter so that is a good idea. As for the petcock issue. I have a Pingle that has the 90 deg turn like you are supposed to have. It is basically brand new but has been used like 30 miles on a race bike. Cost $100 new. I will sell it for $55 plus shipping.

Buelliedan, I'll take the fuel valve if Drfuyutuski isn't interested, I've been looking for one. Let me know. Thanks, Hodakaguy

No way I'd pay $100 for a petcock.

But, I'd pay $55 for a $100 petcock! If Hodakaguy doesn't want it, I'm next.

I would definately add an in line filter -- the filter that fits over the petcock intake (inside the tank) has come adrift a couple of times on my M2, cherrfully filter gas inches from the petcock ;-}

also, if you hunt, you'll be able to find a filter with the intake ant output at 90 degress to one another, solving your other challenge, yes?

Dan, Since my current petcock is in working order I'll hang on it and try to find a 90 deg fuel filter. Hodaka its all yours, though I guess that is Dans decision.

Thats the plan Bomber. Will start searching for one tonight.
