what's the best choice for jetting the cv40.
what's the main differences between the choices.
-jet sizes
-jet kits and brands (dynojet, yost, v&h, etc.)
-thunderslide it or not. (what benefits?)
-etc...

thanks in advance for any help, info, &your time,

IMHO, the big thing is to change the idle jet to a 45, or 48 ( try 45 first ) idle screw out 2 1/2 turns ( then adjust to fine tune ).

You may also want to raise the needle a bit with a small washer.

You may not need to change main jet, a good guru, and dyno tuning is the best way to fine tune.

(this paragraph is my opinion only, others will no doubt chime in )
Yost power tubes may work fine, but I hear it ruins your gas mileage. Thunderslide kits are ok, but I doubt they are needed, & jets are cheap, and work fine without fancy names. Spend the money on Dyno tuning.

main jet standard seems to be 190 to 200, depending on the mods, altitude, and like that

drilling out the hole in the slide also helps the throttle response (drill size found in the KV, I ain't gonna trust my memory!) and a blast spring above the slide helps alot!
