What are your thoughts on putting the headlights from an XB on a tube frame? Which is the better lighting option? How hard would it be to retro fit xb lights on a tuber?
Sorry so much time on my hands being stuck awake at nights due to work.

(I guess I should have just bought a XB for all the parts I want to put on my tuber)

These would be a lot easier to fit up, and would look nicer, than the XB lights, IMHO. Pretty much a straight bolt on with the 54mm clamps they sell. Lots pricier, though.

I picked up a complete Lightning light assy from Buell for $60. I mocked it up on my S3 to see what I was dealing with on a conversion. Here it is.....

One of the local dealership guys put xb lights on his bike, had to fab a headlight mount then he extended his stock m2flyscreen down with fiber glass, similar to the xbs's screen. Once pained it looked real sharp. Fairly inexpensive too.

No offense intended Al but I don't care for the look of those projector beam style lights.

Well, since that was a mock up, my dash went back on it yesterday, along with the rest of what I took off. (Note the rear section is off too.) I will most likely switch to an X1 or M2 dash or fab something similar. I've drawn up some CAD pics of some simple mounts that clamp on the fork tubes. Kinda like two number '8's to hold a gauge in each one. I can lose the clock and hide the ignition. But i gotta worry about my new frame before I get to the dash.

ive been thinking about using a sportster tach/speedo bracket, but the mounting holes dont match up... looks like the bar clamp is backwards on the sportster compared to the buell

other than that i was thinking of an X1 dash myself...

are the Lightning headlights plug and play?
and are they both low/high beam
how'd you mount the lights?
bar end mirrors?

sorry to be a PITA... looks just like what i want
