I am pricing parts through my local H-D/Buell dealer, and the part number for the swingarm comes up obsolete. The number was superceded, and that number is obsolete too. Last number was: 47589-96Y
Anyone know of a good part number for 1996 S1 swingarm? Or the color code of the paint that's on it, if I have to go that route.

I'm not sure of the part number but there is a new swingarm on e-bay right now. I have no affiliation with it just thought I would pass along the info. Here's a link to it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4541782165&ca tegory=35562&sspagename=WDVW

IMO maybe you ought to use this opportunity to upgrade to the new, stiffer aluminum swingarm, maybe polish it or paint to match the frame (titanium?) before bolting it on...

What my dilema is....I have to have a price to give the insurance adjuster. I need the factory high priced jobby part number, so I can get enough for an aftermarket one!
