What up my fellow buelligans! So I bought another S1W and the seller had the bike sitting for a while. It's a little tough to warm her up because I suspect that the gas lines and carburetor have some build up in them. Does anyone know how I can go about cleaning my gas tank and carburetor? I know I can buy a bottle of fuel system cleaner at my local Kragen but I think my bike is going to need more than that. Thanks for the info!

El:

If it were me, I'd pull the carb and wash it out good with carb cleaner and compressed air. I'd give the petcock the same treatment.

Put a quart or so of fresh gas in the tank and slosh it around thoroughly (this will be easier if the tank is off the bike ). Put all the nasty old stale gas in your lawn mower so it won't start and you can go riding instead of mowing your lawn!

Ha ha ha! Thanks Road thing. I'll be sure to take off the tank when I do this.
