I think I have the Buell Pro aluminum Pegs, anyways today while riding I popped a wheelie and when I let the front end down easy the left peg snapped off. There was very little pressure on the peg when it broke. Looking at the broke peg it is made in two pieces and has a bolt through it to hold the two pieces together, it broke right where the two pieces mate. I'm glad it didn't happen out on the highway! What pegs are you guys running? I want to replace all 4 with some heavy duty pegs. Here's a picture of the pegs I have now on the bike. I use the stock rubber ones that are very stout- I'll trade you passengers for passengers if you want, my rider ones are pretty worn. The ones you have are more pricey, how much more I dont know. If you get some different ones and dont want mine though I'll consider buying your passenger ones if they will fit on the rider part of a 01 M2? I'm glad you were not hurt, it was probably just an freak thing... | ||

Yeah, those look like the Pro Series pegs on your bike. I'm running the X1 Millenium pegs on my S2. They're similar to the Pro Series, but with more of a rounded profile on top and a flat finish to the aluminum. I have the pro series on my M2. I put them on the day I bought the bike. I am planing on replacing them with my stock pegs for track days. | ||

i think those are the millenium pegs, sure as hell looks like em, i just picked up a set from dave@appleton and they were reasonably priced so i bought the spring kit too. they look great on my m2 huge difference from the goofy harleyesque oring pegs i had on there ( i don't know what i was thinking ). | ||

Here's a pic of the broken peg. It looks like the bolt that holds the two pieces together is a little short, it may have held with a longer bolt. I will go one piece on the next pegs just for piece of mind. Who makes a billet spring loaded peg to fit the tube framers? Thanks, Hodakaguy  | ||

I just installed those Billet 4 Race pegs I got off ebay on my M2. The pegs are one piece and are almost too pretty to put your boots on. Plus, at the price they're asking for them, I was able to get two pairs. The guy who makes them will do whatever it takes to make sure you are pleased with his stuff. He seems to take it personal (which is a good thing). | ||

I have Crossroads pegs which look identical but are machined from billet. They're tough as nails. | ||

Last I heard he went down on his Buell and got a little roughed up. All I know is that ever since I ordered some stuff from his company, he and his significant other (wife?) have been e-mailing me constantly to make sure the stuff I got worked. I also ordered the peg relocators for my M2 and had a little difficulty installing them. They basically held my hand to make sure everything was going to be alright with their stuff. I almost feel like sending some of the money back. Well..., almost. | ||

I ended up ordering the brake and shifter pedal. It's jsut so much more resonable then Banke parts. I hope they perform as well! | ||

I waited 2 years to see if somebody would closeout their stock of banke products... no luck. On a side note, I was in a bidding war for a CSE footpeg center stand. The stand originally listed at $110 and this one ended up selling for $142. I thought the buyer was crazy since I knew a supplier that sold them at list price. I decided to break down and buy the stand from the supplier only to find out he no longer carried it. Fortunately for me he had one used one left that he sold to me at a discount for $75. It's cool how things workout sometimes!!! | ||

"Did you like the peg relocater? I am 6'3" and think they might crunch my legs to much." I'm 6' with a 34" inseam. My legs are crunched up a little more but it was a sacrifice I had to make to keep from dragging the pegs. I feel more in control while cornering with my legs tucked up, but it obviously will make highway riding more uncomfortable. The locators don't just bolt on - there are a couple of mods you need to make to install them. The brake actuation rod needs to be shortened by 1 1/4 inch and I replaced the fastener that attaches the rod to the brake pedal with a 1/4" longer one. The relocators also limit the height adjustments for the shifter and brake pedal. You might find the brake pedal to be too high and the shift lever to be too low after installing the relocators. Further mods must be made to get the range of adjustment back. This may not be a problem depending on how you like yours controls set up. | ||

Koz, billet4less told me that the brake and shifter worked best with the peg relocaters, I passed and did not get them and have no problem with the location of either, They feel about the same as stock other than the brake is tucked in closer to the bike. | ||

The stock brake pedal needs to be tucked closer to the bike any way. I think the reason Billet 4 Race's parts work so well is because the fabricator actually uses the parts he manufactures on his personal Buell. | ||

Hello Boys, Pinky here. Col. time Auctions. Some of you know me, most probably don't. Well maybe!!! Any way I heard you all were having a good time over here trying to figure out pegs & such. For those of you who don't know who Pinky is...the person(woman Bueller!) they are getting the pegs from. OOOHHHHHH!!! LOL ! And so, here is something to think about. The stock pegs breaking so easily is not a freak thing! Being a casting in itself is asking for it. I've seen more of these stock pegs bust for no good reason at all. But every time I've seen one bust there was always potting of the metal casting were it broke. We all don't want to believe that we maybe dealing with just such a thing... But take a look around and you will find one just like what I'm talking about. When John got his bike taken out from under him by that german shepard the other day... the pegs didn't break, the handle bars didn't bend to badly and the clutch lever survived just fine. The fork tubes got bent, the switch housing blew-up and dog hair and such wedged in the tires rim, the oil can got plugged when the bike came to such a fast halt & the motor came forward to compensate for the impact. So the best news here was... The motor mount & heads are intact. NO DAMAGE! the mount even has a dent in it from hitting the frame.  The tank has 3 little chips in it. The solid handle bars however,ground down about 1/2 way through.Tell you what, I for one am glad we do what we do here at Billet 4 Race. Our parts survived as well as the old man! Most likely helped save alot of damage to the m2 herself. Yes, The M2 has been the test Buell. Some of you have watched it change right before your eyes. Well, it's about to happen again. Any way, nice to meet you all! Must go make some more of them pretty Billet parts. And pet my bike while I'm there! Hope you all get the chance to ride soon! Hey all- john here. Pinky has Triumph and Buell pegs confused. It's the stock Triumph pegs that are die cast and snap just as the one did to our fellow Bueller when coming off that wheelie. (I used to ride a tt600 Triumph and originally made our pegs for those bikes) My take on the stock Buell pegs is that they are way too heavy, slippery when wet and the outer 1/2 in or so is limp- easy to slip off of at the wrong time. Switching to our pegs (front and rear) will- knock 2-1/2 pounds off the bike, provide improved boot gription wet or dry and improve the bikes power to weight ratio. oh yeah and It seems that production tolerances on those stockers allows that some pegs dont even sit level- I hate a peg thats lower on the outside end than it is at the mount.
