Nicely done. I suggest mass production and sales of those pieces.

Lookin' good!

Yuppers - I replaced the stock bulbs with a slight upgrade - couldn't be happier! The LEDs with the lights is cool!

Thanks EZ, I was thinking of that one, or one similar. Especially since a CR fairing is so rare they're extra expensive.

I replaced the Acerbis 20 watts with some nice Japanese 35 watt open units - wow here's a pick with the full 90 watts on and off - same lighting - darker setting to clearly see light -

Just awesome, so is the tail lighting, could not be happier.

Yeah - you can get the bulbs at any lamp/bulb/showroom store - lol - maybe a HD - never checked - I just walked in and asked for open higher voltage version - they had 35 and 55 watt in stock - choose the 35 x 2, plus the 20 watts of LEDs - 10 to each side - thats rocking 90 watts and looking good - lol -
Thank you -

Jd: Nice bike.

Is that rear wheel widened? Any chance you could take a picture of the block your chain rubs on and the wheel?

Yes, It is a 240 on a widened rim. It took lots and lots of thinking and planning but I pulled it off and really love it! The ride is really really good, and still corners awesome. Everyone said the 240 will not work in the stock swing...It does.

T9R - that second picture - that road looks awesome!

Jdale - how much did you have to widen the tire? I said it in another thread earlier - good to see people doing what they need to do to get the bike they want. Aint my style, but you did it well, looks quality

I took it from a stock 5.5 to an 8 inch rim. Makes it look like a "muscle" bike

Hey, here's a total noob. To this forum anyway.
Heres the story, I took my 98 S1 apart during the winter of 09 - 10, to replace the stock heads with thunderstorms. Remodeling the house got in the way for a year and now I'm finally putting it back together. Oh yeah, its turbocharged too, and I had a problem with it leaning out when the boost came on. So now I'm putting it back together and wanted to share my progress with a community that could appreciate it.

Sweet! I'm a bit jealous.
Tell more about the turbo.

I changed my user name to what people actually call me. So sue me.

Ok, so update on the re-construction. Whenever I get some free time (which is pretty rare) I try to turn a wrench.

Got one head on.

Got both heads on.

More new parts! I was suprised at how well it ran with the turbo and stock ignition, but the ability to retard the timing will make it safer from pre-detonation.

My first fitment problem. The new petcock is much thicker than the old one. Gonna have to make an angled bracket. The whole engine has to come up an inch or so yet.
