Jose,

Just one tip. When posting to the web, you can't take full advantage of the millions of colors and ultra high clarity. Moral of the story is you can lower the "quality" and still see the same thing. This way you can post larger pictures while keeping the the size of the jpg under 45k.

As an example, I've taken your photo, which was 31k, and shrunk it to 9k. Can you see the difference?

yours
mine

The top pic is 31 k, the bottom 9k.

If you need a good program, check out image optimizer at http://www.xat.com.

Jose,

Do you have any full view profile pics of the x1 so that we can see the engine and shift mechanism?

You could use Viks post to really show off the details in a larger format so that we can argue with Curt about what looks good or bad.

Personally, I bought the x1 for the matt black engine. I think it rocks but Buell should offer crome or matt black for those people who want choices.

these pic files had already been compressed using HP software, so they appear grainy. I can't wait to use this xat.com compression with a pic straight out of the camera...

Yeah, I've been a big fan of it for awhile. The professional version is pretty nice too, but you have to shell out some duckets for that and I already have Adobe Photoshop. For a quick, easy compression, Xat.com rocks! The thing I like the best is the real time indicator of how big the pic is as you are compressing it so you know exactly when to stop.

Usually what I'll do is compress the phot down to 40%, then crop it and if neccessary, resize. You can post some good sized pictures this way.

Not a Buell but a fun machine anyway. This is a CH-47D Chinook, it's what I drive when I'm not flying my M2. This was taken at a helibase on 29 July at a fire near Cambria, CA. That's a 2000 gallon water bucket, it's just full of air at this point as we're taking off.

This is what a polished 01' shifter looks like on my 00' X-1 Race Stripe: 01'Shifter Dusty, you need one of these if don't already have the Banke.

What does a Race Stripe Lightning-Bolt look like?
Lightng-Bolt ZG
The paint came back today after a little touch up and it's as smooth as glass and deep enough to drown in.
I guess since Bob and Deb coined X-3, I'll add the model name of Lightning-Bolt (Besides what does a Thunderbolt look like??. I can't wait for some sunny weather so I can get some really good pictures.
