Bomber, Try paint shop pro by JASC. http://www.jasc.com/products/psp/
They have a free 30 day download. I wouldn't know anything about it but you can get cracked versions. In the spirit of this page and this season. MERRY CHRISTMAS! see above pic.

Bomber,

I second that JASC Paint Shop Pro Pick. If you haven't been spoiled by the way Adobe does things you'll have a good time with it.

I've seen the software priced around $100. And it has that all important feature of layers that enable you to do all kinds of stuff.

Bomber, are you a student? Do you know a student? Do you know a teacher? If you can answer yes to any of the above questions, you can get the full version of Photoshop for $150 (you may have to have the student or teacher buy it for you if you dont qualify). Go to www.creationengine.com. Educational prices on software ROCKS. You can also get these prices at you local student bookstore.

All . . .thanks for the tips . . . . . .from what you folks, and others I know have said, PaintShop Pro sounds like the way I'll go . . . . .

no puritanism involved here, but I've spent too much time writing manuals and training for software companies to feel entirely comfortable in securing what we came to call "off-site, backup copies . . . ." . . . . I'[m not pointing fingers at those who do, it's just not something I'm into . . . .

thanks, all, for the data and offers of assistance . . . . . is it any wonder this board is so good?

No new pics for Tuesday, bummer. Well here's another from the Seattle IMS.

Beautiful Beemer

This is a really cool machine. It has a driveshaft for the final drive and the tank sat below the top frame member giving the bike a low sleek look. With all the weight so low to the ground this thing must of been a real corner carver, until you started scrapping the floor boards. Too much fun!

When you buy a student version of Software you do get a great price. But usually you also have to pay for tech support if you have any problems with it.
