( Bongino ) And that was while "our" side ( his term iirc ) thinks the other side's Ideas are Wrong, and we want to argue against the IDEAS, "they" think the other side, ( "us" ) is Wrong and our ideas are not worth even considering. And in his opinion that's why "they" won't argue logic and ideas, but jump to personal attacks and straw men & all the logical fallacies so common in American politics. Generally, I agree, but that's not universally true. However, the Stock Argument Tactic Set used by Leftists is DESIGNED to limit thinking to predetermined false concepts. "Have you quit beating your wife?" Is the overly simplistic form of this tactic. My opinion that the creators and users of this tactic on the "other side" are evil, by historic ( pre-revolution ) standards, doesn't blind me to the fact that both sides will use such ( unfair, bull S@#$ ) tactics for the simple reason that it works. And that brings me back to the pundit's aphorism. Where we differ, is I'm aware that "They" think "we" think just like they do. That's both natural, intellectual laziness, And deliberate brain washing on the part of the Leftists. ( projection ) The reason projection is so blatant and rigid in the Left is due to the origins of the ideology in reality, as opposed to coffee shop and bar talk at University. The people that ACTUALLY run the revolution to take the place of the deposed king/president/etc. are not pure ideological creatures. They are inevitably evil people who exploit a cult to use it to gain power and wealth. THOSE people are fundamentally back stabbing sociopaths, who KNOW the greatest danger to them is people like them. Thus YOU must be said to be like they actually are, for them to keep you from stopping their Grand Theft Freedom. And that pattern is ruthlessly imposed from the top down. "They" ( not the leaders like Trudeau or Xi... The masses that follow them ) think they are desperately trying to Save The World from evil monsters who must have ill intent when they point out such heresy as, say, "Solar power only works during the day, and can't replace "conventional" power generation without even greater environmental impact. For a century in Europe and America it's been majority white, aka European descent. So that's who Madison Ave ( and the foreign marketing centers ) targeted. Most people like to look at pretty, fit, people, so that's what's in ads. That demographic is changing, so the targeted marketing changes too. "Gotta catch them all" I noticed that there isn't a matching movement to "normalize" fat slob males. Why? Clothing sales. Big & Tall shops have been around for decades. My recent trip to the local mall, ( devastated by the Coronapanic lock downs, and switch to online shopping ) shows a trend to "plus size" women's clothing stores. Most new clothing stores there. That's a limited anecdotal survey, but if I noticed, it's a big shift. I enjoy watching the changing store manikins. When I was young it was pretty much identical everywhere. Then the hip skinny women's clothing stores started having unrealistically thin, manikins with erect nipples. Hey, I'm a guy, I noticed. Now it's Venus of Willendorf trending manikins. That's actually an exaggeration, they are just "thic-er" and frankly more realistic to the targeted consumers. They serve the purpose of selling very well. Pay attention next time and think on it. So is the Fat Chick movement a Commie plot to reduce population by disgust and heart disease? Or simply a marketing trend? My OPINION is both.  It's the press that is racist. | ||

Oh, I'm not hyping a paranoid fantasy about banning gas stoves. The Glorious Leader of New York already has. She's phasing in the ban, and it will be years before she, or her successor, send Jack booted thugs to turn off my gas and take my stove at gunpoint. And they aren't going to take my stove at gunpoint. They will just forbid me to have gas. That's in progress. Joe* already raised the price to encourage us to transition to electric everything. I did notice they also reduced electricity generation by decree, and the intersection of both policies is causing shortages. Winter is just starting, here. ( we run a month behind because of the thermal mass of the small Great Lakes that dominate the weather, here in Western NY. Spring comes late too. ) So as the solar panels get snowed over and the wind farms stop in the cold, we are awaiting peak winter the next 2 months, and I'm watching the news for the fatality numbers from this policy of the CCP & their well paid employees. | ||
