I can't bring myself to watch the news on the Idiot Box. I've heard that the red wave was a trickle, but I also just read that Pelosi is on her way out as Speaker of the House.

So my question is: did the Republicans gain a majority in both Houses? They had the majority of the Senate before the election; do they still have it? What about the House? Did the Republicans get the majority?

I realize that here on Badweb, if both Houses were 100% Republican, some people would bitch because they weren't all as Conservative as they would like, but was this election a victory, a defeat or about the same as before?

The Senate was 50-50 before the election with the VP as tie-breaker.

We don’t know yet. Third world countries count their votes in hours but it appears some of our states take days. It takes time to manufacture votes, after all.

Crusty,

Try this site:https://www.foxnews.com/elections/2022/midterm-res ults/senate

You can click on House, Senate etc. for results without all the blather.

They are still counting and there are some run offs to come so things are still TBD.

In the Senate, Republicans have not held the majority since 2014. They need two more seats to have it back.

In the House, Republicans have not held the majority since 2014. They need several more seats to have it back.

There is a big test coming up for We The People. Will we allow the establishment crowd, the WEF, the One World Gov't, Deep State (swamp) to continue to drive us to serfdom or will we in the United States of America demand representation? Lots of enemies from within these days...see my profile to see what Cicero said way back in the Roman Senate!

>>> It takes time to manufacture votes, after all.

100% Agree. I weep for "our" elections. It's a sad, sad thing that is going on in the USA.

I'll point out that I'm the token Olde School Liberal... : )

True, unrepentant counter revolutionary, wrote my jr. year thesis on Communist Party USA, who were very helpful in supplying literature and recommending Rules For Radicals, the unholy bible of the left, and Hillary's college thesis subject. Barack Obama's Party.

I wrote, back pre - ARPANET days, and asked how-to become a CPUSA activist. ( yeah, AP Political Science, School Without Walls )

So my opposition isn't from some pundit. It's from a deep dive in 1974. Losing classmates to LBJ & McNamara 's policies and the International Soviet Sphere. A broad study of history.

And pure enlightened self interest.
