The 12th annual Buells in the Alps (BITA) meet near Little Switzerland, NC starts next Friday. Dates are 7/29/22 - 7/31/22. Nice short video on NC 226A, aka “the Diamondback”, the road you’ll spend much of your time riding if you come to the meet: Video of ride up NC-80 / Buck Creek Road, aka “the Devil’s Whip”. This road begins about 12 miles from the Skyline Village Inn. These guys do some stupid stuff, like hauling a** on the sections through residential and camping areas, which I’m sure is a great way to increase the presence of law enforcement in the area. | ||

Hi Curt. Yes, I’m planning on having a 2023 BITA. It’s always been the last full weekend in July. This year, that’ll be Friday July 28, Saturday July 29, and Sunday 30 July. This will be the second year the hotel has been under new ownership. Last year, there was a temporary crew running the place but for the past 6 months or so, a “permanent” crew has been running it, and it appears they’ve made significant improvements. I’ll start a thread for it he meet in the Storm Fronts section ASAP. | ||
