Medieval farmers had Billions less to feed, and if you go to Sri Lanka, or England, you can often see the Old city walls where most of the population lived, and nearly all of it could shelter during an invasion. There aren't many American examples to look at. The ones America were torn down for expansion or buried under jungle century+ ago. But we do have maps. Look at the island of Manhattan. Search for Dutch Manhattan map. The tip of the island was a walled fortress against hostiles. ( the Dutch were both not stupid about building secure towns, and noted for making others hostile. See the Connections series  ) Wall Street was... Where the wall was. Duh. The Watermelon/WEF movement has given us modern, starving, broke, Sri Lanka. The concentration of people makes such islands a Petri dish for change. The high population is only possible with modern "Green Revolution" farming practices. Here, the EPA is shifting to high gear to stop civilization as we know it, after the Supreme Court ruled against them. I point out that Sri Lanka is now utterly dependent on India shipping them food. ( plus, hopefully, charity from here & Europe, temporarily ) If American and European farms are Destroyed by the Cult, a work in progress, then there's no one to bail us out.
