Nah Hugh - sold the Uly when we moved back home to Aus in '11. I thought I would have trouble getting parts and ongoing service for it in a new town - how wrong I was. I started working for a Harley magazine pretty much before we landed and have fallen in tight with several dealerships and workshops since. Live an' learn. I have a Tiger 1050 now which is the same sorta bike .. kinda. Gents - thanks - all is well. Brisbane has been a good place to live over the past few sh@tful years. A sub-tropical climate has a lot going for it. It basically never gets cold here by the coast. My motorcycle work has been mostly Harleys, which unlike the FUHD crew - I still really like. Still camera geeking. Apart from that - same ol'. Youse? | ||

Dammit! Got to know a couple from Colombia... this past summer. Rode in on a barn-find 1984 GL1200. On their 4 year late honeymoon... met them at the Alcoa Wal-Mart. Led a ride to the Kodak flea market... on the way back, the fuel pump on the GL failed. Hilarity ensued. In and after the pouring rain, he and I loaded the GL on my old GMC stepside PU ourselves, after HIS triple "AAA" failed. We survived. Life... is DANG good. I'm riding a PC800, not quite a show winner for a ride-in bike show on a rainy Friday. Came in 2nd place, against about 6 other new HD products. Hey! Someone a while ago mentioned to me that the latest iteration of "Buell" needed salesfolk. I resemble that somewhat. Without Erik (with a K) involved, I generally trust nobody... and IIRC, recently, they were marketing like over-steroided dipshits. Keith Wandell should be flipping burgers somewhere by now, Fkin idiot. I, myself, studied under Dr. Dick Reisenstein, at University of Tennessee, Knoxville. WHY in the HEYULL didn't I get into marketing for Erik Buell...? Woulda/Coulda/Shoulda is a game no one wins. Fk me. | ||

Oh, and I just realised I'd omitted a but of info... you meet the nicest and also the moist competitive folk on a Jane Honda. "Jetson" is my Tennessee tag/license plate.  See edit- I competed on a rainy Friday against the other fellas. I included a pic of myself and Erik hugging at the Guinness World Record Burnout in 2016. Might've helped me a bit there. | ||

Youse? Doing well. We're finally getting out of the city! Going to live in the mountains, in a cabin, in the rurals. The Atlanta-Metro area really sucks and really sucks harder lately. Like you I like every motorcycle. Unlike you, I can no longer ride, but I'm getting used to the new normal... not really. | ||
