Pulls like a tractor. I use all 24 torks. Weight-wise, I'm running less extra weight than a pillion rider with what I have put on and taken off plus the trailer and my camping kit. I run the trailer on the highway and loose it at the campsite. The trailer loaded with all my gear handles better than with all my gear loaded on the bike and no trailer. I'll test it on the Dragon in the Spring.

I've decided to run a distribution strip to make tapping the battery easier for emergency lights and heated gear. I'll loose the coil of wire afterwords.

I did eliminate a white stripe on the side of the tank with a strip of blackout tape:

A piece of inner-tube to keep down the chance of shorting out my power-tap:

The fuel line from fuel cell to main tank without a pump in it. The theory is that the bikes fuel pump will create a vacuum in the main tank. There is only one line going into the main tank. I ran it to the bung on the bottom of the fuel cell. It should draw the fuel into the main tank to replace the fuel being pumped out by the bikes fuel pump. The cap on the fuel cell allows air to enter it. "Simplicity":

The video recorder sits under the pillion seat. In the lower right of this picture, you can see one of the S-hooks for the safety chains. I need to fabricate and install 2 more braces on the fuel cell so that the rear rack doen't flex when it is full.

Found my old patch in the attic. Stitched it on to my jacket for this Spring:

I have been driving a rental car. When I got it it had 38.1 as the highest gas mileage on the dash. I just upped the high score and got 45.7 MPG. I am disappointed because there is not a place to put your initials.

I had a partial can of etching primer for aluminum. I painted with it and some gloss black today. I got 2 braces for my fuel cell, muffler heat shield and the skid plate for the "GoodGuy" coated today.

Piker.

Heyull, I put 46K on my '05 CityX and a second motor before I sold it to a punk kid in Sevier county, after riding it to HC2010 and back, 2000.8 miles, across the Mackinaw Island bridge, with Vern and Joe, before I shared a room with that weird Korean guy, and had a perfectly unfortunate picture taken by none other than C.C. Dipshit kid tried to re-sell it after erasing Erik's signature and all my priceless stickers for more money than he gave me for it.

Young, dumb, full of come-alongs. Let me know if you ever need to re-home that bike. I'd prefer a 54" wheelbase, as to eventually build a mutated Uly. I haz my matted dreams.

I decided to put a better grease in the head bearings on GoodGuy. Here is the condition of the lower bearing race (can feel lines):

An amazing battle ensued to get the inner race off the lower triple:

A large long (alignment) punch and 2 pound lineman's hammer won out in the end. I had a cut off wheel loaded in the dremel as a last resort. I removed the powder coating before putting on the new inner bearing race. I got everything back together. Even installed some EBC HH pads on the front. I left my mess for tomorrow:

I got lucky! Got in a 281 mile shake down run with GoodGuy hauling WarWagon to Rudy's in Springfield, Ohio. Ate ribs with Crusty and they had good coffee. The ribs were great on flavor and tenderness, Tasted good with or without sauce. Only thing to keep them out of a winners circle was the falling off the bone. I liked them. Worth a place for a meet and eat meat. I very much enjoyed Crusty' company too.

The shake down. 281 miles. OEM tires with a loaded trailer do not like Ohio wavy lined concrete grind on the interstate at above 69 mph. Was OK at 74 mph on Indiana pavement. I really like riding at 60 to 65 mph with the big trucks. So, it will be great for the GA. and WV. trips. Gas mileage you say? 58 mpg at 65 to 70 mph. I still had 78 miles left in the tank after the run with no refueling. Puts me at 359 miles between gas stations. I also have 2 one liter MSR bottles of fuel on board as a reserve or in case Brad is riding with us.

HAA!!! Naww, RD, just get me a bottle of NOs and I'll pour it in my gas tank. LOL!

Heck, with that trailer you could probably haul a bike lift if need be. Very nice, you nutter.

The milage is impressive. How does the bike feel to you fully laden. on the back roads, twisties, and the slab.

I dont think any bike likes wavy groves, or decking ( there is a grate decked bridge here that will make my bikes wiggle. )

BTW that whole project is something else..

It runs twisties smooth as ever. Really shines through the corners. The last brace I installed in front of the box and the new swingarm pivot bolt worked a charm. 140 mile interstate run and the trailer bearings were still cool to the touch.

RD, dagnabbit, at the very least in May you gotta stop by either my place or Vern's... Vern in particular deserves to look at that roll of sano-insanity perfected.

I am planning to make it for the May weekend, but- like Vernicle, things are still up in the air for me. Vern is also hoping to make it down to Suches, per our last conversation a week or so ago. Here's hoping we all can get together, either Suches or New Market... maybe even The Time Warp, in Happy Holler, on a Tuesday, from 4-8PM. RD, you would be the spectacle.

Oh, and the RE too, FWIW.
