As a longtime lover of all things from Dr. Ferdinand and "Ferry", this hurts, man. My first car was a 1973 Super Beetle that I customed out, and I once owned a 1970 transporter... even wrote a paper in college about the history of Porsche. Just re-homed my Beemer even, a close cousin. Craptastic.

Saw an early, vintage Datsun 240Z with antique plates yesterday as I was leaving work. My fave car of all time... owned two over the years, one was a 2+2. Most vehicles are fugly nowadays... Porsche's models generally are not, and several VW's are at least OK to look at. Might get a drop-top hardtop VW one day, although I'd REALLY like an SC430 Lexus if I hit a lottery ticket.

Oh well. Burning cars, no bueno on many fronts.

There's a youtub guy Hoovie, that spends silly money on cars.. "the cheapest Ferrari on Ebay" & the most expensive repair bills.

He's got a replica spyder? with a Subaru engine. Cute.

I had a pretty great ride today, if for no other reason than I can now say that I passed a Lamborghini and a Porsche Spyder whilst riding Horny Jane. It was a beautiful, silver, new (?) Lambo, just putt-putting around Chilhowee Lake. With a Sentra leading, just like what M drives. On the way home, heading to get cilantro and sour cream for dinner tacos,
I decided to pass the Porsche, on Walland Highway.

Found out that there were at least 3 crashes yesterday on Deal's Gap, one was a Corvette that spun out and flipped on its top.

Oh well... I and mine are doing just fine.

Someone on my little neighborhood, long gone now, had one of those old, little Suzuki 4WD jeepish thingy cars, convertible even! Wish I had asked about buying THAT little pooter car, what with gasohol going up and up.

Weird thought, kinda horrible one... wonder what kind of "reef" that container ship would make?? I doubt anyone has thought of a port of call big enuf to deal with THAT mess... yee. Still kinda sad about it all... what a giant, smoking, toxic turd plopped right into that big ole toilet. Environmental concerns, egads.
