Hmmm... "under new ownership"? I still think of that great steak dinner from years ago, with the former owners... Vern and I had a great time! Hope they are well! Recon RQ'ed, Hugh. That place needs a ginormous hot tub and/or a pool, but hey. Let me see what life allows me this year... might try and make it. | ||

We talked to former owner Mike this week. He said he and Lynn are very happy with the new owners. There was another potential owner in the running, I believe he was at the hotel on a new Harley Pan America the week before last year’s BITA, but apparently he was unable to get his financing together in a timely fashion. Mike said the new owners are looking for someone to run the restaurant so its status seems to be up in the air at present. My wife and I will be headed up to the Skyline a week early, so there’ll be ample time for me to post a review before the meet. Heck, we might even go up for a weekend before that. The new owners haven’t yet made any updates to the Facebook page or website, so I’ll try and keep an eye on those too. | ||

Cool beans, brother! You can't help but love that place... Mike and Lynn did a great job. I'd still like to learn more about the history of the place- maybe you could suggest to the new folks to expand on that. Marketing, eh? Skyline aint the most glamorous, but like Knoxville, "scruffy" equals awesome!  Keep us posted! You're great for reporting on great rides, whether it's a motorcycle or a spaceship... !  |
