Wow.... the Senator made 98 years old. Talk about tenacity, in damn near EVERYTHING. Textbook, hardcover, OLD school. Didn't know he partnered with Daschle after his congressional career. The below NPR piece is VERY good... also mentions his love of political humor. I might have to buy "Great Presidential Wit"... here's Wonder Woman's link (Amazon):

NOTHING but respect. I'll miss him.

Half-staff, youn's.

I disagreed with nearly everything he campaigned for, but he seemed to be a man of integrity and found it easy to not take himself terribly seriously (my favorite was the Superbowl commercial he did for Pepsi. He kept talking about how his "little blue friend" made things so much easier for him The punchline came at the end when he drank from a can of Pepsi). Sadly, at the end, he was a Notorious B.I.G.ot supporter. I guess I can forgive him for that now.

President Biden ordered flags fly at half staff for his passing.

I liked Bob Dole a lot. He was true to his convictions and was no piece of crap RINO. A good man who loved and cared about his country.

It was a shame he fell off a stage, there by ending any chance to defeat the racist womanizing rapist criminal in chief known as Bill Clinton.

"It was a shame he fell off a stage, there by ending any chance to defeat the racist womanizing rapist criminal in chief known as Bill Clinton." Go ahead and substitute our last POTUS for that last statement, youn's.

Yeah... he would've been a damn sight better than the last R, for sure. Not makin' them old school like Senator Dole anymore. WWII veteran to boot... today is my mother's Bday, just happens to be the day we were forced into World War II.

Army... that was Bob Dole. Hats off to all the remaining WWII veterans. What a day... for me personally, but also for the last of the old guard.
